MY AIM
I set up Script Advice because as well as producing and script editing drama, I also write myself and I can sympathise with the problems writers face. Most writers do not have an approachable, professional, experienced source to call upon if they are struggling with a script, overwhelmed by an impending deadline or in need of a fresh input of energy and ideas.
Script Advice is here to give you the writer professional help in a personal, constructive and enjoyable way.
Below you will find the four main services I offer.
Script Reading and Report
You have finished your script and now you need a second opinion.
I will read your work and provide you with a thorough, constructive and professional report covering structure, dialogue and characterisation. I will highlight the strengths of the work and point to areas that need improvement. I will also give you my professional opinion on the strength of the idea within the current market place.
The report usually runs to 4/5 pages.
Cost - £100
Treatment Reading and Report
You have a great idea, but are struggling taking it further.
I will read your pages and send you a thoughtful and informed report on the merits of the idea, the tone, the format and it’s saleability. The treatment report will help you ultimately write the script.
Cost - £50
Script Editor Package
I will be your personal script editor.
In 2 x 1 hour phone sessions, I will take you through the vital first draft and the subsequent second draft of your script. The edit sessions will be fun, constructive and give you clear scene by scene notes designed to take the sting out of any rewriting necessary!
Cost - £300
